Kinder Dance 1/2
This class combines both Ballet and Tap as an introductory lesson designed to develop basic motor skills, musicality and creative movement. Students learn the disciplinary forms of proper technique, such as, development of balance, leaps, proper arm and feet placements, classroom behavior and etiquette. This class is geared to children between the ages 3-6.
These classes combine a more focused study of fields of Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Training in building a strong center, good posture and proper body alignment, obtained by introduction in traditional barre and center work. Teachers begin to place strong emphasis on basic terminology.
Class includes traditional barre and center work, which focuses on building strong technique. Teachers emphasize on body placement, posture, muscle memory, control and flexibility. Ballet is the foundation for all other forms of dance, allowing a classically trained dancer to use their skill learned in this class for any other dance discipline.
Beginner through advanced classes includes the use of barre work as well as center work emphasizing musicality and coordination with your feet. Technique in Broadway, Rhythmic and Street styles are taught through exercises, combinations and drills.
This class built off the basics of Ballet (balance, control and flexibility) and is executed with much faster paced movements. Jazz classes offer a wide variety of musical accompaniments, while promoting individual expressions and style.
A cross between the grace and fluidity of Ballet and the strength and passion of Jazz, Lyrical movement is expressible and entertaining. The lyrical style is known for its strong technique and performance/ storytelling qualities.
(Ballet and Jazz are the pre-requisites for lyrical.)
Acro, which is closely related to gymnastics, will help develop great balance and flexibility. In this class skills will be explained by the teacher step by step, which in turn will be executed by the student, this to develop a good sense of listening and following directions.
Hip Hop classes develop strength and stamina along with muscle memory. The classes are fast paced and energetic with new combinations every week. No previous dance training is necessary.
Beginning through advanced instruction in both Casino (La Rueda) and LA style Salsa. Classes work on basic turns, footwork and styling and well as stamina.
Break dancing is a style of dance that evolved as part of hip-hop culture, this style maintains a discipline somewhere between that of a dancer and an athlete. Usage of the upper body strength to perform trick and stunts, breaking also entails quick foot work and hip-hop style.
Belly dancing is an intense workout for the abdominal region. This form of dance conditions the hips and waist to create movements in circular and sharp movements; with its rich culture and style this form of dance is fun as well as structured.
